My boyfriend and I had dinner at La Licorne in July 2017 as it was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying in, and by a local shop owner. The decor inside is beautiful - very French and tres chic! We dined outside as it was a lovely warm evening. The waitress spoke very limited English; which twinned with our poor French made it quite difficult to make sense of the menu and even harder to order wine!We ordered from both the 29€ and the 43€ menu, and the food was fabulous, apart from an absolutely hideous amuse bouche! It was a langoustine set cream (like a pannacotta) but it was glelatinous and grainy... and I couldn't eat it... and I eat most things! The bottle of wine was lovely and there is an extremely extensive wine list. In short, we really enjoyed our meal as the food was tasty, the setting was beautiful and the drinks flowed! The only elements that needed improving were: more staff as they seemed rushed, scrapping the prawn cream and unfortunately my souffle was like scrambled egg.I would recommend La Licorne, however I think to fully enjoy it, you need to be able to speak a good level of French.

We had a lunch (two adults, two kids) and went there despite some negative online reviews. There is a large choice of "menus" starting at 23€ but we chose courses "à la carte" ranking from 20€ (appetizer) to 38€(lobster as a main course). Good point they have a kid menu which is pretty good and adapted for the kids (8 and 4). Large choice of local wines but many are no longer available... what's the point not changing the wine list? To be honest we were disappointed by the quantity (for "à la carte" courses) and more important the quality of the food. Mostly the fish and the lobster were too much cooked (well done is not the right way to cook seafood). We mentioned it and they offered us the desert to compensate which was a nice gesture. All in all not a bad a experience but did not live up to our expectations for a restaurant in the Michelin guide. Nice location and nice old house.

Some people at our accomodation said worth a try but expensive. Looked nice, very french. Unfortunately none of the 3 staff spoke any English. So we ordered the 43€ set menu alternating courses. Amus bouche was inedible some sort of prawn mouse if hot would have been a great prawn bisque, all servings extremely small and fairly flavourless. Service was terrible, we had to pour our own wine - as did other tables in our room. I thought they may have been very busy but when I looked around there where only 8 tables of people for a Saturday night. Now I know why. Any of the other restaurants in town would be a better pick re value or flavour. It was really disappointing and we are fairly easy going and willing to give anything a go. SERIOUSLY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GOT! Didn't even take any pictures due to embarassingly small and unimpresive servings.

A recommander chaleureusement !
