I was looking for another restaurant and could not find it. So, looking on Trip Advisor, not wanting to eat where the masses would be eating, La Lozère came up and I walked to it. It is small and lucky for me I was able to be seated without reservation. The server explained the hand written menu as well as possible in English for me. I choose the Menu Producteurs. First cours Foie Gras de Cqnqrd poêlé, second Côtes de veaux aux mousserons, and last gâteau á La chatâigne coeur fondant au chocolate. It was absolutely wonderful.

For a third time we eat like nobility in this fabulous restaurant. For the subtlety of so many robust flavours in such apparently simple old fashioned ‘grandma style’ dishes, this place is hard to beat. This is what the best of French cooking is all about. Sadly it was not heaving with customers as usual owing to the famous strike, but we again loved the cozy intimate atmosphere and the friendly jocular service. Beautiful fresh ingredients cooked with love by a gifted talented chef. And every time to the same high standard.

We used Tripadvisor to search for a place and found this place. Absolute delight. The food was very good, the service very friendly. They do not have an English menu, but the waiter (he might have been the owner) was very friendly and patient and explained every choice to us. As previously mentioned, the dishes were great. Me, my wife and kids all loved the food, including my daughter who tends to be a picky eater. Will definitely visit again next time we’re in Paris. Wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Small and cosy atmosphere, great staff and service. The menu is limited but excellent nice entrees and desserts that you don’t find elsewhere and the mains are more traditional. Tip: one portion of aligot serves two unless you are really hungry. I’ve eaten here now for the fifth time in 10 years and La Lozère is a fixed item on the agenda whenever i’m in Paris.
