I have visited Flachau so many times, even though I have missed this pearl every time in the past. From the outside it looks quite modest, but don't let the exterior fool you.This is really a place worth a visit. Probably the best kitchen that is open for the public in this village.A nice menu and a really attentive service is a good start. In a high season this restaurant can still accommodate your visit without necessary booking. Number of seats is large and they look at large turnover. So order quickly, eat quickly, pay since they are others waiting for your table. I understand the business model. No good for slow food or romantic evening. Also not good value for money. To pay 15+€ for some salads or pizzas seems to me insane. There was empty bottle of olive oil on the table and my wife had to ask for Parmesan to the pasta she ordered. We arrived in Flachau around 9:30 pm. Hotel said the bar was open and served light food until midnight, but they didn't. Across the street was La Luma. We went in and it's decorated very pretty with a full bar. Sat and ordered pizza and a calzone. Pizza was good, calzone needed to be cooked for 10 more minutes, was very doughy. FYI no toilet in the men's bathroom!! Just saying. I also ordered a mix drink, tasted like watered down fruit punch with no alcohol.
The service could have been better (quicker), we waited quite some time on the food, but when it came, everybody at our table (7 adults) were all satisfied with the meals, mainly pizza's and pasta dishes, but everybody also quickly agreed that they've had better Italian food...
