La Mandragore - Réservation de table

Pendant les vacances, ce restaurant a été vivement recommandé... et à juste titre! Notre table en terrasse offrait une vue incroyable sur la rivière, qui devenait encore plus attrayante au coucher du soleil! Nous avons également pu voir le jardin d'herbes florissant... qui est largement utilisé dans les plats servis. Nous avons tous opté pour le Menu du Chef, qui était un délice en 3 plats, commençant par un accord inhabituel de crème brûlée avec une garniture de foie gras, suivi d'un délicieux plat de veau et d'un dessert incroyable. Notre serveur était charmant et a expliqué chaque plat en détail. Cela a certainement rendu notre dernière soirée dans cette merveilleuse région très spéciale,...

Bonne nourriture mais… Le menu est tellement limité; si vous aimez la nourriture proposée, tant mieux, mais d'autres endroits à proximité offrent beaucoup plus de choix. L'un des points forts du restaurant est sa terrasse avec vue sur les toits de la ville. C'est charmant s'il ne fait pas trop chaud… et ensoleillé car les parasols ne protègent pas suffisamment du soleil. La petite salle à manger voûtée est adorable mais certains pourraient la trouver claustrophobique. Ce n'est pas un endroit pour manger si vous êtes pressé. La nourriture est bien présentée mais 'sur-expliquée' par le personnel de service, il est possible que vous ayez deux salades d'accompagnement identiques pendant le repas...

Great food but. The menu is so limited; if you like the food offered your luck us in but other nearby places offer much more choice. One of the restaurant's selling points is its terrasse overlooking the town's rooftops. That's lovely if it's not hot and sunny as the umbrellas provide insufficient protection from the sun. The small vaulted dining room is delightful but some might find it claustrophobic. Not a place to eat if you are in a hurry. Food well presented but over-explained by the waiting staff, its possible that you might have two identical side salads during the meal and their contents are explained in minute detail each and every time they arrive.

The outside tables offer a panoramic view from the ramparts. You may see the chef coming out from his kitchen to fetch fresh herbs from the garden. They will be on your delicious and beautifully decorated plate in a moment! Sitting inside or out, the food is great in taste and presentation. Service friendly though with limited English. Recommended for dinner is the ‘Fou du Chef’, basically giving the chef ‘carte blance’ (25 euros.) This option comes in ‘savoir’ or ‘surprise’ ; just be surprised… you will get an enthusiastic explanation when served, which gives you a handle on the flowers flavoring and decorating your plate. Nous sommes ici pour le déjeuner. Nous ne connaissions pas cet endroit, nous l'avons seulement vu depuis la cathédrale surplombant la ville. Il y avait un autre couple sur la terrasse. Parfois, on a de la chance! Mon amie a apprécié sa soupe de poisson bien garnie (Chaudrée... Charentaise à souhait! J'ai quant à moi dégusté un magret de canard très bien préparé et caramélisé avec une garniture de petits tomates et d'abricots. Délicieux! Le plat principal coûte 23 euros. Avec une entrée, cela aurait été 28 euros. Je n'ai pas l'habitude de payer ce prix pour un déjeuner, mais j'étais heureux de l'avoir fait.

First class outstanding food, staff are attentive but not over the topStunning views from the terrace over looking the river and townThe Chefs special 25 euro menu is very tasty and good valueAll the other food on the menu either tasted or looked extremely good.Good selection of wines and other drinks.This is the fifth time visiting Terrasson and we always try and eat at La Mandregore two or three times during our stay.It gets booked up at times and is closed on Tuesday's.

Vous devez vous asseoir sur la terrasse et regarder le soleil se coucher pendant que vous mangez car la vue est incroyable. Bonne atmosphère. excellent service, personnel sympathique. Je ne parle pas français et ils ont été vraiment utiles. Mais de loin, le meilleur atout de La Mandragore... c'est la nourriture !!! C'est légèrement différent de ce que l'on trouve habituellement dans la région et la fusion des saveurs était magique !

You must sit on the terrace and watch the sun set while you eat because the views are unbelievable. Great atmosphere. great service, friendly staff. I am a non-french speaker and they were really helpful. But far and away the best part of La Mandragore is the food! It is slightly different than what you would typically find in the region and the fusion of flavors was magical! Réservez une table maintenant

We took the chef's menu, just 25€. 3 courses plus a teaser from the kitchen. Terrace a bit windy but still the best place to eat. Try to get a table around sun set. Worth every cent!

We organized a family event here and booked the whole outside area. It was wonderful, the view over Terrasson and the food. Everything was magnificent.
