I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant if you love seafood. Having spent not dissimilar money at a very mediocre pizza restaurant, in Blaye, a couple of days before this restaurant presents excellent value for money. We even had a carafe of the house red wine which was surprisingly good. We all enjoyed a shared seafood platter for starters. Whelks, oysters, prawn, shrimp and langoustines. Absolutely stunning. I had lobster for a main course. Absolutely divine. My daughter had a children's meal. The food was properly prepared and not from a packet. 4 of us ate stunning food here for around ninety euros. I cannot recommend here highly enough.
The evening started badly as they tried to tell me I had no booking. It was only when I showed them my name and details in their reservations book that they accepted they had overlooked this and overbooked. However, after some shuffling of chairs and tables they managed to accommodate us. Fortunately the evening improved significantly from that point. The food was excellent, well cooked, well presented and extremely good value. Our group chose a wide variety of dishes and everyone commented on how good their meal was. The seafood platter looked excellent. Their house red wine is also very acceptable and exceptional value.Highly recommended.
Wij arriveerde met zijn vijfen rond 19:00, het restaurant was nog niet geopend we werden ook niet van harte verwelkomt. Dit was al snel goed gemaakt. Na ongeveer 15/20 minuten werden we verplaatst naar een leukere tafel aan het raam. Wij vijfen namen een menu en niet a la carte. Waarde voor je geld! 22.- voor een 3 gangen menu. Klasse! Zeker een aanrader als je in Blaye bent. Ik zou wel vooraf reserveren want als je dat niet hebt gedaan, is het nog de vraag of er plek voor je is.
