La Paloma has really declined over the past year. The service is awful—they seem unprepared and disorganized. The chips taste like they came from a store-bought bag, not homemade. If you’re someone who expects competent service, you’ll be disappointed. Usually, only one person on staff is capable, and guests are often ignored until it’s time to pay the bill. Most employees just hang out near the reception chatting instead of attending to customers. For better service and food, try Casa Sanchez in Ontario off Mountain. The menu there is excellent, the service is five-star, and the flavors are superior.
Unbelievably poor service, the food was ok, the price is almost twice as much as similar places in the area, limited parking. Most of the staff were more interested in watching TV than service. Some of the food was good some was ok and some was bad, rice and beans were old and dry. We had to ask several times to get napkins and refills on drinks. They forgot some of the order and the staff seemed like they did not want to be there. When we were there, the place was not very busy and there was plenty of staff, but they acted like high school kids being forced to do yard work at the crack of dawn.
My family has been coming to La Paloma for generations. My grandparents adore this restaurant, and that love has been passed down through the family. I’ve been visiting since I was a small child, and the rest is a well-kept secret. The food is, of course, delicious! I definitely recommend giving it a try—this 5-star review reflects my entire family’s opinion.
Every item on the menu is great, and the shrimp enchiladas are the best I have ever had. The service is always friendly and attentive. It's hard not to fill up on the chips and salsa before the dinner arrives. I have been going to this restaurant since it opened in 1966, and I have never had a bad meal or a bad time.

Always delicious! Been eating here since birth! Ask for José, he is the best. He's been here as long as I can remember. He gives the best customer service, and he makes the best suggestions. I suggest Taco Tuesday, it is delicious!!!!!! Actually,everything is delicious!!!!!!!
Really good food, had the meatball soup delicious. Waiter was unable to answer simple questions, but good service considering he seemed like only waiter taking orders. Understaffed like everywhere. Margarita on rocks- don?t order. Really good food
The service was excellent, although we did experience a wait due to insufficient staff. It seems like there’s a general shortage of workers these days. The food was fantastic, and the prices were reasonable.

Come here often and the food was excellent again today. The fajitas are out of this world as always. Try the steak and shrimp very tasty and good.
Lovely, creative atmosphere—cozy for both romantic evenings and family gatherings. I just wish the music had been a bit louder.
