Wow what a find having been coming to St Omer many time since 1983, this was I'm ashamed to say my first visit into La Terrasse! Well worth it loved the welcome warm atmosphere even on a drizzly day in November! Making the most of my day trip with a mate who (due to mother caring issues) had not been out of the UK for 13 years! So pleased we opted to try something new, the restaurant situated on the main square over looking the Marie, has tables out the front too, plenty of covers, inside as well as a good wine list and a daily menu! I chose bavette irelandaise, (steak with chips) and my friend had Chicken and bacon in a rich cheese sauce also with chips and we shared a bottle of Cote du Rhone 2020, nice and fruity! We polished off the food, and finished with Dame Blanche, and chocolate liegeouis! And coffee you have to take time over lunch not just in France but generally! I will be back thanks to the team for friendly courtesy and perfect service!
