Told (not asked) to wait outside in the wind and snow for 30 minutes for our 2pm reservation. Finally seated at 2.40, then told the kitchen closed at 3m so we had to order quickly. No wine list, asked what we liked, when told red burgundy, we were offered a bottle without any detail of producer, area, vintage, just the price. Food was ok, but we enjoyed better escargot and veal in several other places this week. Menu states ‘service compris’ but told we had to add service, despite the service being below par. Home of the £50 burger. Head to Le Fornet and go to Edelweiss for better food, wine and service.

I booked this as a surprise lunch for my husband and we both really enjoyed it. The intimate candlelit interior is unlike anything else we have experienced in a mountain restaurant. Our waiter was so lovely very friendly and accommodating. We didn’t feel the burgers were great value for the cost, but everything else more than made up for it, like the salami as an appetizer, and the genepi to finish the meal. All in all a very memorable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our stay.

Really good food. Really great setting aswell. Beware that you need to take le face down or a chairlift. It is beauitufllu lit by candles. Very expensive though! A treat but an amazing one.

Romantic and cosy candle lit and no windows. Simple meat based menu. No wine list just a sommelier who is great but not having prices is a worry! They must change this.
