La Petite Marmite

I was visiting some friends in Paris who brought me to this restaurant. I'm so glad that they did. This restaurant is such a gem from the ambiance down to the food. Upon entering the restaurant has a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. Since the weather was nice we sat in the back patio. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, polite, and patient when it came to explaining the dishes (I'm not the best in French so some repetition was necessary). The staff made excellent recommendations as well as perfect wine pairings for the food. The owner stopped by and poured the wine for us. He was extremely sociable and very passionate when it came to the food served in his restaurant. I couldn't have asked for better service. I was told that the food would be good but this completely blew my expectations. I tried a full range of the menu as we sat through appetizers to dessert. There was not one shred of disappointment. If you have the chance I would recommend the escargots as well as the noisette d'agneau. This has now become my standard for French cuisine. I have been back to Paris many times but have yet to experience a restaurant quite like this one, especially outside of the downtown Paris area.I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Not really a choice of our own, I had no idea of what to expect really.I would say it is OK but nothing special. Talked to the chef afterwards and he was kind of not sure of the origins of some of his produces(?). The starter called "tourte de homard" was very disappointing, the chicken was OK but the potato chips were really not enough and the sauce should be on the side or the chips, they became very soon soggy.

Très déçu par la saveur des plats et leur présentation. En outre, il était très cher. Dommage parce que la réception et le service sont irréprochables.

Très bon resto propre et au rapport qualité-prix parfait. De bon plat savoureux et délicieux. Bonne ambiance familial,je valide.

Très belle surprise, la cuisine est excellente et la réception est parfaite.
