"During summer time, they have a great area to serve food. However the service IS terrible, the cost is CRAZY for what it is.And (the best) if the waiter (which might be the owner) is 1 hour late to bring you the bread and water, you can't complain because she will be **** off with you. A joke. The food is ok but clearly not the price. To avoid."

We booked a table and arrived on time, yet it took 35 mins to get a bottle of wine. When we finally ordered our starters they arrived an hr and a half after we sat down . Our main courses arrived half an hour later ( 2 hours since we sat down?!) When mine arrived it was covered in meat sauce, which wasn't written on the menu... I was told it was my fault for not asking. Then I was told the kitchen was closed, so I couldn't have a main course. Finally I asked for a dessert - 25 mins later I was told it was sold out. We left almost 3 hours after we arrived, and I went straight to the pub for a bag of crisps, no apology and I left hungry.. never going back!

Found this charming restaurant by chance on a gloomy May evening but the place soon cheered us up. The service was very friendly from the off and the menu a welcome change from the norm. We shared a charcuterie plate and a cooked vegetable plate between 3 for a starter and the portions were very generous. We all had different entrees, a mixture of meat, fish and fowl and these were well presented and delicious. it was a Saturday evening and although the place was packed the two ladies serving kept up a frantic pace ensuring good service was kept up. I suggest you make a reservation to avoid disappointment

We've been there a couple of times, each time between 2 and 6 persons, but last week-end we saw that owners of this interesting, high-quality italian restaurant had changed. On the "dark" side, we did not find any menu, had to choose "a la carte". But prices remain low enough to ensure an excellent Q/P ratioOn the "bright" side, food is still excellent (try the vegetable antipasti, a must IMHO), atmosphere is very cosy in winter thanks to an efficient fireplace and service very professional (they bring everything just when you're about to ask for it).A place I definitely recommend!

For several years this restaurant was off our list of local eateries. However, over the past 6 months we have been back several times and it has recovered much of the quality it had lost. One of the few in Saint Germain en Laye that in good weather offers an outside terrace BUT it is shared with another restaurant that is more like a bar so can be noisy in the evening.
