Food was Good, especially the Pizza but the service was Very disappointed. We arrive 7:20 pm 40 minutes later someone came to ask about drinks so we ordered drinks and food, another 15 minutes later our drinks came in, starters were served 10 minutes after the drink and by 9 pm we got our main dinner, no one came to ask if we wanted another drink or anything, it’s was just like they didn’t care about the customers because we wasn’t the only one who had the bad experience, other tables were worse 2 tables who were there before we arrived were served after our dinner. It’s a shame because the Food was really nice. Unfortunately we will not come back there again
It looks nice and traditional inside which makes an exception to most of the Bournemouth high street. So we chose it for a slightly more upmarket dining experience. Was nice in that regard. Menu was relatively simple, which is no bad thing. Our meals were good without being sensational. Price was fairly reasonable too. A nice evening out even if nothing incredible.
We were only in Bournemouth for one night and we chose this restaurant as it was very close to the Premier Inn and could walk there. It felt like a genuine Italian restaurant in every way, the decor is relaxed and the food and service were excellent. We got there early and within half an hour it was pretty full up.
We came as a largish family group with children and someone who needs gluten free food. We were easily accommodated. The food was straightforward good Italian food, we all enjoyed our food and it was reasonably priced. A really nice place to go if you are in the area.

Ordered chicken milanese and surprised to get a side of spaghetti bolognese instead of expected spaghetti in tomato sauce. Combination tasted awful. Chicken escalope was average. Waiter didn't comment on the pasta element left on my plate. Will not return.
A really good Italian restaurant. Great friendly service and excellent Italian food. All at a very competitive price. If you want good food, good service and a great friendly atmosphere head to La Picolla Italia. Its our go to place in Bournemouth.
Service really slow. 30 mins to get a drink on arrival and then only after chased up. Room temp white wine! Very poor quality house wine. Pizzas ok. Food and drink struggles to match prezzo which is no high bar!! Seems to rely on tourists.
Best Italian in Bournemouth. The food is so freshly cooked and delicious. Service is excellent with the very best staff. This restaurant has been over 40 years in Bournemouth and is as good as ever.
