Unfortunately the choice for decent restaurants is more than limited in Yverdon, but La Pinte is a welcome exception. This place is a rather typical brasserie serving classical dishes that are perfectly prepared. Without reaching star level this is definitely a very serious place using...good and (according to them) mostly local products and delivering consistent quality. Today, we enjoyed perfect burgundy eggs (oeufs en meurette) and excellent scallops in citrus sauce with high quality vegetables (including artichokes hearts). Service is professional and efficient and our only complaint was that the desserts were... too copious ! (but very good). Slightly expensive but worth it, definitely...
It's a nice restaurant, but I question the knowhow in the kitchen. Very good quality of products, but it seams that there are no one having the skill to make it justice. We had a whole piece of beef fillet of fantastic quality, but there were no or very little seasoning. It was though cooked to perfection. The mix of vegetables were undercooked. The sauce quit blend and the fried potatoes undercooked, no seasoning and had a strange taste of not fresh oil. My starter was really good. Last minute fried duck liver with glazed melon and rhubarb chutney. Price: for what it was I have seen better for less. Maine dish 48 Sfr is quite overpriced, not for the meat quality but for the treatment of it.
very good products. I took a mixed salad first. nothing spectacular but fresh sweet, good sauce and fresh bread. then I took the Voronoff rift. it was very well cooked, the last touch on the table (flambé . the sweet was slightly undercooked, but I like it so. I finally had the Tiramisù, which was good, but far from spectacular (the balance between mascarpone and coffee was wrong imho, not enough coffee. about the place, it is beautifully decorated and the service was very friendly and professional. if they like my review, they give it a thumb
We went here following a business meeting, with our local host.The service was excellent throughout (helps to have a native speaker). The menu is great with some lovely fish and meat dishes (especially steaks). I had the lamb and it was superb! The wine list is very good too. The absinthe dessert was pretty special and kept me warm on the cold and wet trip back to my hotel. Definitely worth a try. Réservez une table maintenant
Excellent restaurant, very good food, I ate and drank really well. The garden is very welcoming and well laid out. Really worth trying, the only flaw was the waitress, who wasn't particularly attentive, she forgot the order and made me wait too long for the last order, even making a mistake. Overall I still recommend it
The restaurant offers a varied menu with nice options of salads, meats, fish and daily specials. The restaurant also offers an option to dine al fresco in a very nice outdoor space. When we ate there last, the service was spotty but acceptable. Prices are reasonable.
