Located on the first floor of a building complex, La Place Deli serves up the surrounding local businesses by offering delicious breakfast and lunch foods. The staff is friendly and helpful in narrowing down what to eat. As my first time visiting, I quickly observed that everyone knew the staff and vice versa and it reminded me of how endearing relationships to local businesses are so important their success. This place is one of many cafes near my work and I only heard good things so I decided to check it out. I called them to order my lunch thinking it would take a while for them to get it ready and it was already done by the time I walked over. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, I am pretty picky about my teriyaki, and it was very tasty. They also gave me a small side of Mac salad and I need a jar of that stuff it was so tasty! I went back on a rainy day and got their soup of the day and a sandwich. The soup was their chicken poblano and it was wonderful especially in the cold day. The soup and sand which were large and I was able to have it for lunch the next day. Definitely plan to go back...
The best kept secret of north county! Korean-owned with Korean specials like bibimbap, pork bulgogi, freshly made deli meats every morning, the best quality ingredients. Their breakfast burrito is so good, just as good as Juanita's famous breakfast burrito. It's hidden in a business plaza with red umbrellas outside. Looks like a business plaza deli but food it amazing. Check it out!
I tried all the delis in the local area, most of them more than once, and settled on La Place Deli as being the best. Charlie and his staff, including his wife Jamie, are always friendly and attentive. Food is excellent, great value for money, and there is enough variety to please even the most picky eaters. And they are fast! Highly recommended!
