La Plage - Réservation de table

After visiting the restaurants in Erquy by the port and finding them good, but all rather the same, we thought we'd give this place a try based on TripAdvisor reviews. I'd been put off as it's a restaurant in a hotel, but the food here was the best we ate in Erquy. The menu was a little bit pricier than the port menus, but the food was several notches up fresh oysters as part of the starter on the set menu wow! We loved all three courses (we both chose fish (two different) for mains and had gorgeous puddings) and a bottle of wine and watched the sun set over the beach across the road from the restaurant. Le seul point positif de cet hôtel est son emplacement idéal, cependant il est très fatigué et a besoin d'une rénovation majeure. Les chambres étaient très petites, à peine suffisantes pour 2 personnes. Armoire minuscule. Des trous dans les murs, les portes, même les rideaux! Le plancher en bois du balcon est pourri et constitue un danger de trébuchement. Le WiFi est faible et peu fiable dans les chambres. Le petit-déjeuner est limité et cher, arrivez tôt si vous voulez du fromage et du jambon de mauvaise qualité, ils disparaissent en moins d'une heure. Pas de sèche-cheveux dans la chambre, il a fallu le demander à la réception!!! De nombreux hôtels français se sont considérablement amélioré...

I had the pleasure of stumbling upon La Plage on a quick stop and it was one I will not forget. Right in front of the beach with an incredible view, the setting is only bested by the food. I was amazed by the sophisticated dishes which I tried, all made with local ingredients. My first tie trying Ormeaux/Haliotis and it could not have been prepared any better. The Gaspacio and Cod were also just as incredible. The chef has managed to accentuate the flavours of the main ingredients and put it in the spotlight. Nous avons dîné au restaurant de l'hôtel lors de nos deux soirées là-bas, en goûtant à la fois le menu standard et aux choix à la carte. Chaque plat était magnifiquement présenté et démontrait de superbes saveurs. Dans une région qui compte littéralement des centaines de restaurants de fruits de mer, c'est un endroit qui vaut la peine de voyager pour le goûter, c'est vraiment très, très bon. Nous sommes venus en couple, pour le week-end, début août. Très belle vue pour voir le coucher du soleil, le logo du restaurant est correct, situé exactement là où se trouve le restaurant : "Plage" est entre les rochers et le phare. Bonne nourriture, service attentionné. Recommandons avec plaisir.

Magnificent view over the harbor, and fine cooking. This restaurant is set slightly apart from the cluster of seaside restaurants at Erquy and is definitely more upscale. But still relaxed and cosy, and of course very good food.

Restaurant donnant sur la baie d'Erquy ! Belle salle, soigneusement décorée. Personnel agréable et professionnel. De bons produits frais, locaux et de saison. A recommander.

Wide clean and good views with toilet facilities and beach activities may be worth travelling in if in the area but take a picnic as food is limited.

we have just returned from 4 weeks in France, our evening meal here was on of the best we had during our trip.
