La Porte Oubliee

Because of last minute changes in our program we had to look for a restaurant in the neighborhood of our rental accommodation on first Easter Eve. Surprisingly this restaurant was open. The owner and cook was also serving the few guests this evening. He was very friendly and in a very good mood. The food was nice and very well priced. For such a small village the menus offered were more than sufficient and selection of dishes was good. Local food served with a smile in a typical restaurant, just lovely.

Deixamos Epernay rumo à Paris e encontramos este pequeno restaurante no vilarejo de Chatillon. Fomos calorosamente recebidos pelo proprietário do local, e tivemos um excelente almoço.Menu gourmet com entrada, prato principal e sobremesa, por menos de 20 euros.Aproveite a passagem pelo local para andar pelas ruas do entorno, e até mesmo arriscar uma subida até a estátua que homenageia Urbano I.

We were looking for a quick lunch and this was fine. The amount of food we got was huge, quality was alright and we would again stop. Probably next time not ordering the menu, it was ok but too much. staff was friendly, but not really fast. In summary a well priced solid stop for lunch.

Nous nous sommes fait refouler dès l'entrée - soi disant "complet" alors qu'il y avait une table pour deux qu'il aurait suffi de débarrasser et de dresser à nouveau - patron vraiment désagréable - n'a même pas voulu nous indiquer une autre adresse

A l'occasion des portes ouvertes du champagne Michalet, Nous avons manger un menu champenois agréable, très bonne qualité de service (serveuse souriante), cependant décoration à revoir et bon rapport qualité/prix.
