After eating at Briscola on a semi-regular basis for some time, I took my family there for my sister’s birthday. I am incredibly disappointed, and frankly, humiliated that I had made the recommendation to eat here.
When I made the booking for eleven people, I was told that it was not possible to order al a carte, that our only option was to choose a banquet. I chose the option advertised as an assortment of pizzas and pastas. I didn’t understand this at the time to mean that we would not have the opportunity to select the pizzas and pasta that we wanted to eat. Instead, we were served whatever the kitchen had slapped together.
This “banquet” option was $35 per person - a total of $38...

had starved beetles here where they had a banquet for a head. I was skeptical that they were fed enough, but they got a lot pasta and pizza to keep them happy. the adult ate dips and prosciutto pizza. pizza was great, it was a little good. the four pastas quickly came out, but were only in order. gnocchi was far too rich and clearly not made to house. ravioli was too thick and then too hard. risotto had too much to crack. spaghetti was “just ok” when they go past, they are looking for amazing eating, probably going board atley

Was looking to eat a good pizza and saw a sign 'Best Italian 2015', so that's where I would find my pizza.
The place is nice and service is friendly, but pizza isn't amazingly good and the medium pizza was quite small for the price I had to pay. I do liked that they had some special Italian beers on the menu.
Tried it once but will not come back.
Briscola Pizzeria is a warm and friendly spot to share pizza and red wine on a chilly Canberra Evening. Offering BYO wine at per head and a discount to Canberra Entertainment card holders, it’s also good value. Gianni is a welcoming and warm host who is keen to help you choose well.
I ordered a 'medium' pizza which is actually a small size everywhere else at a cost of $23. Thought the pizza was average especially considering that they advertise that they are Artisan pizza makers! Would recommend you look elsewhere for a good pizza. Won't be going back.
The pizza was lovely and the risotto was good. Have been noticing this restaurant for a long time and it was ok but a little too pricy. Maybe next time with a friend to try other things.

Had a lovely $32 banquet lunch for nine. Plenty of pizza and pasta - all delicious. Great service and atmosphere. A fantastic place for a fun work lunch.
