On nous a dit que nous étions trop tard pour avoir le menu à 4 plats, alors nous avons simplement commandé un plat principal chacun et un dessert. La nourriture était correcte même si le menu n'était pas aussi bon que les visites précédentes et assez cher. Ce qui nous a ennuyés, c'est qu'à la fin de la soirée (pas tard), nous avons été littéralement poussés dehors. Ennuyeux car nous avions également dépensé beaucoup d'argent en vin et laissé un bon pourboire. Nous ne reviendrons pas. Nous avons visité ce restaurant hors saison avec notre petite fille. L'hôte a tout fait pour s'assurer que nous étions à l'aise et que nous avions tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour notre petit. Un gars très sympathique et serviable. Le déjeuner était vraiment bon et servi très efficacement. Un joyau caché est leur petite terrasse à l'arrière du restaurant avec une vue imprenable sur la vallée. Incroyable!
I had done a lot of research as this was a anniversary dinner and this lived up to the good reviews that were posted. Service was friendly and efficient. The leek and garlic soup was excellent. We had the duck and lamb which were very...well cooked. Chocolate dessert was also very tasty and well presented. Overall, quality well cooked meal and would go back.

Very nice discovery for us while passing by Chatel. The menu is not very long but offers good diversity to satisfy everybody. The dishes are very good and very well presented. The food quality was higher than expected given the location and look of the...place from the outside. The waiter (the owner I'd assume) was professional and friendly.
The leek and garlic soup resembled burnt garlic with a horrid lingering repeating after taste. The duck was tough. The entrecôte steak was tough. The lobster and crayfish entree was 3/4 squirts cream. The veal was very nice. The bill was slammed down and restaurant...was cold. Not great.
Menu was a bit limited, most reasonable choice was to go with a set menu otherwise quite pricey. Nice cosy restaurant and food was really nicely presented however it lacked flavor and seasoning. We all agreed it was not our best meal but it was...ok, would probably not go again.
This is absolutely the best restaurant in Chatel. Good food, friendly staff and cosy environment. In my opinion the most economy friendly choice is to choose the 3 or 4 courses menu (39 or 59 euros). Be careful during the crowded period, a reservation is...usually needed.

Well food on this trip has been nothing short of sensational. Beautiful traditional french fare presented with flare in a relaxed and traditional setting. Beautiful lamb and veal fillets, so tender and tasty.
Delicious local cheeses and charcuterie and then finished off with the chocolate mousse! Lovely sunny spot and friendly atmosphere
