The service was poor, they speak only french, and although my french isn't too bad they screwed up several times. For starters the kids could not order the nuggets of croque monsieur with fries solely. It had to be ordered in the menu. So they got a awfull tomato crème thing with ketchup sauce for starters. The accompanying drink never came. The kids quiz placemets only came before the dessert, which they screwed up aswell; we asked for 3 times icecream , chocolat and twice the vanilla. They came with chocolat and twice a soft white cheese! They were affronted when we asked for the vanilla ice we ordered. My wife had a menu aswell. She asked for the frommage, but because they had sent 2 soft...
We were a group of 8 family and friends travelling along the canals in France in our ‘self-drive’ anal boat. We stopped for the night in Decize and were looking for a restaurant for dinner.We came across Gail and her husband Pascale outside their restaurant La Rainette. They were unpacking their car after a holiday away and unfortunately their restaurant wasn’t open. But they started telephoning around the town to various restaurants that they knew to see where we could get a booking for 8 people. Gail made a reservation for us but this was going to be in about an hours’ time.
