In the Michelin Guide (which came on the market as a travel guide tens of years ago), 1 star originally meant the best restaurant in the area . 2 stars worth the detour and 3 stars a destination in itself . The star that the La Riva team holds is an absolute understatement. Following the definition above, at least 2 are appropriate. We were absolutely thrilled with the overall experience that the team is delivering. The food was an experience in a class of its own, the service warm, attentive and sincerely cordial and the ambience very pleasant and not a bit stiff , as is sometimes the case in star gastronomy. A wonderful evening. The food is wonderful and a treat just to look at. And the passion of Johannes the sommelier, just wonderful. You and your wife feel like you are staying with a friend, he takes great care of you and his palate in terms of the accompanying wine is just great with the food. What Dominique and his team conjure up on the plate not only looks good, it also tastes good. His Amous Gueule pulled me straight into his spell and didn't let me go for 3 hours.
