Genuinely well cooked, copious cous cous and tagines of mainly Moroccan derivation. A good balance of spices and seasoning with optional harissa etc. Attentive and friendly service but not overbearing. Spotlessly clean mosaic-topped tables in a well-lit vaulted cellar. Quite a find in a small rural town.We stopped for lunch on a Tuesday in July. There were four other couples and a family with two children. Fortunately the TV was not switched on to interfere with the ambience of the place. Spotlessly clean and well appointed with lighting, tables and chairs this vaulted restaurant was not claustrophobic or dank. The toilet area was clean with plenty of soap and water to wash hands - an electric drier provided too.Rose wine at 5.40 Euros per 50 CL was good value. No charge for a Caraffe of water. Main dishes at ca. 15 Euros and good sized portions. Olives provided gratis as appetiser.Certainly recommended.

We went here on a sunday night, the food was great: we are not used to Maroccan food but enjoyed it a lot. We ate a lamb tajine and a couscous. Both delicious regarding taste and enough to fill your tummy. However, the atmosphere of the place was quite terrible: the television set was being installed to watch soccer, but because it did not function properly, it was causing a lot of fuss and did not lead to a cosy atmosphere. When we were paying at the counter, the owner of the restaurant could hardly take his eyes of the television in that room to show us the bill. I was almost disgusted by this disrespectfull behaviour. If you want to watch soccer, then you should close the restaurant. We would not return here again, even though the food was good.

I found the staff friendly and helpful. The lamb tagine was good, though the lamb was a bit more fatty than I like.My husband's Berber salad with aubergine and tomatoes was tastier than my shrimps in pastry which was greasier than I like. All in all it was a very enjoyable meal in a small French town
