La Ruca - Réservation de table

A bit out of the way given it's above a retail food shop...and inscence, Bees wax candles etc....downstairs. Quite small, perhaps a dozen tables. Cosy feel with a nice ambience even on a rainy autumn morning. I had Full English and wife the vege English. Servings were ample albeit not huge. My very seasoned sausage was finger size with a ok piece of bacon. 4 half button mushrooms. Big eaters may not be satisfied. I was a tiny bit miffed that they refused my request for poached eggs instead of fried. The reason was because it was very busy; however it absolutely was not. Never mind. Cost for both meals including a very good coffee each a bit under £14.

We called in and received a very warm welcome... and when I reached the daily specials part of the menu glanced up and the waitress immediately told me what they were! Impressive! I had the chilli con carne special and my fiance had the chicken chimichanga. Couldn't fault either. Great flavoursome food and perfect service. Highly recommended and we will return. Thanks for the experience

I've been here for lunch on a Saturday a couple of times now and it's such a lovely spot. The woman who runs the place is really smiley, attentive and welcoming and the food is delicious and great value. Gloucester Road has a lot of great places to eat and La Ruca is easy to overlook, but it's well worth a visit.

I wasn't particularly intrigued to try La Ruca but I decided to give it a try and take some food to go...I was pleasantly surprised with the flavours that were packed in their tortilla...but the veggie chimichanga was out of this world! Very tasty, very filling! Pure comfort food! Réservez une table maintenant

This cafe is above a shop and you could easily miss it. It is absolutely charming and has friendly and efficient staff. The food is delicious and there’s good options for vegetarians. I would definitely return and would highly recommend it.

Visiting La Ruca is like visiting old friends-the welcome is genuine, the food is delicious the coffee is great! The decor is uplifting all in all a trip to La Ruca makes you feel good, very good!

3 of us ate and all had fantastic fresh and healthy meals. We also shared a desert. The service was super friendly. Very well priced. Tip- look out for the specials.

Went here for breakfast and there is not much to say other than that it is a lovely room the food is belting and the price is good. A bargain in fact Réservez une table maintenant

We had the chicken chimichanga an enchilada and a full English. Waitress was polite and friendly and the food was superb as always. Perfect x

Outstanding lunch with family. We all ĺoved our amazing South American food. Excellent vegan options
