La Segunda St. Petersburg

My Daughter and I went there 9/1/2024...we had never been there before and purposely went there for a Cuban sandwich...BIG disappointment...we arrived around noon...they must have run out of meat...because the sandwich was sooooo SKINNY you could barely see any meat,,...definitely no geneoa salami.,and trace amounts of pork....a tiny amount of ham....one or two pickles and barely any cheese...we wanted guava cheese pastry as well but by noon they were already gone???? It looked like there was only ONE person working in the kitchen????? It did not get busy until we sat down to eat ..after having eaten there for the first time and having such a bad experience we will not go back again or EVER...

I hope this doesn 't jinx me... this Sammy was perfect. Place is clean. Staff is so friendly. The smaller Cuban is only about 9 bucks. The construction of the Sammy was just delightful perfect combo of meat and cheese and pickles. Yum. They close at 3 pm or this would be my dinner once a week.

Best cafe con leche in town. Friendliest staff, most delicious food. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service. La Segunda is our Happy Place.

We both had Cuban sandwiches they were excellent! The staff are very pleasant. I had a pastries which was nice flaky.

Ove lived in the tampa bay area for over 40 years. They make the absolute best Cubans!
