The server was very nice and personable and attentive, but the food was mostly so-so (the arancini, the tortellini, and the veal and sauce in the Barbara Speciale were very good, everything else was lackluster—two of the sauces were bland, some of the meat in the House Speciale was tough, and all the pasta was overcooked . The other employee (the hostess as opposed to the server? was a bit chilly and bizarrely told me I should choke down my last my last shrimp. (Who are you, my Sicilian mother? If so, why am I paying $135 for this meal for three, Mom? We were told multiple times by guides in Boston that you could not go wrong just choosing any restaurant in the North End. We proved that inco...

We visited La Summa on a weekday night and were seated by the window. The staff at the restaurant was extremely warm and welcoming. The restaurant was charming and the ambience was perfect for a date, with not too much noise. We started off with a pistacciocini which was a perfect cocktail for a summer evening. For the mains, we ordered the Manicotti and the shrimp pasta. Both the mains were good, but the marinara sauce in both could have been a little more flavourful. The portions were large and hence, we didn’t have much space left for dessert!

This was the tackiest and most annoying meal I have ever had. As our appetizers came, some guy with a speaker came into the restaurant and started singed, very loudly. Fine, whatever. He did 2 songs and it was over. Annoying, but over. So I thought…Once he was done singing, he went from table to table soliciting for people to follow him on social media and asked for money. WTF?!?!?! What restaurant allows peddling in the middle of a meal?!?! Couldn’t be more tacky and I will never return!

Lovely small spot in the North End that feels authentic and has delivered great food on multiple visits. Have tried multiple different starters, entrees, and specials that all were very good. Good to make a res in advance, the place is small so it can get a little loud but I don't mind. The short rib ravioli special and Barbara's Special were highlights for me, but my friends and family that have been always enjoyed their meals. Réservez une table maintenant

Got the gamberi siciliano and it was a pile of pasta and microwaved veggies and shrimp. The food was not good. It's a shame because the place is lovely and comfortable and the service was phenomenal. Perhaps some of the other dishes are better!

Small, intimate, probably family owned and operated venue with delicious food! Réservez une table maintenant
