La Table De May Ly

Excellent food. We've been here several times. This time we were four adults two very young children. We called to reserve a table. We were 25 minutes drive away but could only be accommodated in 20 minutes. We raced to get there and claimed our table, 12 minutes late. The reception was cool and unfriendly we did not feel welcomed. There were no high chairs for our toddler or baby they did not have any at all. We were asked to remove the toddlers canvass shoes because she was standing on the seat. The attitude of the staff made us uncomfortable it was as though they felt they were doing us, a favour by letting us be there. If children are not welcome then that policy should be overt. The food was extremely good and the service was efficient I want to return, but probably won't. Clearly they didn't want, or need, our custom.

We ate here based on previous reviews but weren't expecting too much, being familiar with the often average quality of the restaurants in the area. What a surprise! The food was excellent, very fresh and tasty. The place had a nice atmosphere despite being a Tuesday night, helped by a friendly and engaging owner. We intend to return soon!

Fantastic food and wonderful staff, worth driving from a distance. Our family had a selection of dishes, the green curry was phenomenal. If you're in the region this is a place to drive at least 45 minutes for. I would return.

Love the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Pristine open kitchen, happy to accommodate requests, good portion size. When we are in the area we always try to come here a family favourite.

Were in Ille-sur-Tet for only five nights but visited here twice as it's so good. Banana fritters were delicious.
