La Table Du Connetable

I haven’t heard much about the restaurant before having dinner here as I was staying at the hotel. Let me say that the element of surprise completely surpassed any notion of expectation. First I must mention that the service was beyond impeccable. Staff was non intrusive but somehow always there at the right moments. They were so skillful in their profession, always one step ahead of what you think you needed. Completely impressed and almost embarrassingly so when compared to how some 3 star restaurants in Paris can’t even match. Kudos to their team. Dinner here was flawless. Food was expertly prepared with some of the tastiest beef in the country. Loved that everything is sourced locally down to vegetables from their own garden. Great wine selection as well. An experience to be remembered.

We stayed for a night in this hotel and had the opportunity to dine in this classy yet welcoming and warm restaurant. The staff went all the way to make us feel comfortable and enjoy not only the chef cooking from our table close to the kitchen but most of all the never ending array of appetizers. We had foie gras and eggs as starters, pigeon from Maison Picarde as main course, Blood Orange and Rabotte Picard as desert. All dishes were tasty and visually expressive and appealing. Chef Julien Lucas said hello to all the guests after dinner was served and thus concluded an excellent last night in France.

The main claim is not at all tasty. Placed a restaurant with friends and children. The children did not eat desserts. Adults did not eat the main dishes. The wine was good, as was the service. The kitchen is weak.

We visited this restaurant for a special dinner and it was beyond what we imagined, the food was wonderful and will remain in the memory for years! We will definitely go back when in this area again.
