We popped into this place whilst strolling through the square, it looked quite full, which is usually a good sign! It wasn't. Firstly, we were totally ignored by our waiter, Sat for a long time, and when we asked for the menu, it was clear we were putting him out, we ordered two glasses of wine (house) a Calzone pizza, and a pepperoni pizza. A different waitress came back to say the wine we'd choses was only served by the bottle (the menu did say by the glass) but we'd have probably ordered another glass anyway, so took the bottle. Visited here twice whilst staying in the area. To be honest Reus is a very traditional town and the food leans towards Catalonian fayre, which is not to everyone 's tastes, particularly if you have young children with you. That said, the food here was very nice and the portions are huge! On both occasions the staff arranged to take home a 'doggie bag ' our pasta was transferred into boxes and given to us in lovely cloth bags to tae home! The menu offers a range of different pastas and pizzas for the pasta, you have to choose the one your prefer i.e. ravioli, spaghetti etc., and then choose the sauce you like best to go with it! Fourth visit to this chain when in Spain gets progressively worse. We have been over last 4 years attracted as Northern Europeans to the ability to eat at 8 rather than 10. First time fine oversized portions but good value and range. Last two times far worse and last night in Reus a) did not have the advertised black pepper pasta, b) did not have one of the three pork dishes and c) the boletos/mushroom pasta was basically spot the mushroom (found ONE) in a vile creamy sauce. Really nice relaxed atmosphere in here, as well as really good food. I'm amazed by some of the poor reviews on here, it's like they were in a different restaurant!! So good that I ate in here twice during a short visit to Reus. I was looked after by different waitresses on 2 evenings, both were were friendly and helpful. If I am back in Reus, I'll be back in here.
