Went there for lunch. Ordered food and drinks. Once the check arrived, we got charged for items that was never ordered (bread). And this item is not even available on the menu (which would be a big offence according to EU consumer rights). On top of that, when they put bread on the table, I explicitly asked to the waiter if it was included in the price or not. He confirmed that it was included. This practice of scamming tourists should stop. Why would you want to scam people for such low items and ruin at the same time your reputation? By behaving like that, you are causing more arm to your restaurant for literally crumbs . Once I discussed that with the waiter before paying, instead of doing the right thing by canceling that on the invoice, he basically played dumb , meaning that is how it works here and camped on his position that even if his colleagues said it was free, it was probably because he did not understand my question and that is how it works in Tenerife . Which is wrong, especially since it was the second time that this scam happened to me after dinning in 10 different restaurants here, which is far from that is how it works here ... Very sad final experience, especially since we really enjoyed the food and I was willing to come back once more before my departure to try other recipes. What is the next trickery, should you pay for ice cubs, limes in your drinks or even napkins?
