Lüneburg is a very tough place for foodies especially for those with allergies and/or food intolerances. While this place falls under the flag of generic tourist restaurant with a view, it importantly does offer gluten free pizzas and pastas. While nothing special, these are edible...and indeed the pizzas are cooked in a dish to avoid cross contamination on the bottom of the pizza oven. La Taverna has been veganizing typical Italian dishes for some time. It definitely makes her contact for vegans. Especially the vegan Lasagne Bolognese with a plentiful and spicy tomato sauce is remarkable. According to Koch, she was created with Soya Cuisine.
