La Taverna De Tossa

My husband enjoys a bargain and this place fit the bill when were looking for somewhere to have a quick lunch before heading to the airport. The menu is only 8.99 euros for 3 courses plus wine bread! Just remember this if you eat here. The tapas menu looked good and the interior was really nice so maybe they do a good business in the evenings. We were the only two in at lunchtime. The starters were pretty bland a plain salad for my husband and my croquettes were hard and tasteless. We both then had kebab and fries. The mystery meat was chewy but the chips were nice. Not wanting fine dining on a cool October evening we returned to this Taverna for simple but well prepared meal. Loma Plancha and grilled chicken with salad were our choice and finished with desserts of crema catalan a good one) and a decent ice cream. House wine €7.60) water,tomato bread,sparkling water and the main courses came to €35.10. Good value. Do note the owners are opening up their new venture El Xiringuito [which in Catalan is House on the Beach as a Restaurant/Lounge/Bar at Passeig del Mar 31 in November taking over the old premises of Siroc so we will be seeking them out there... In short: Tables that arrived after us were attended first service is very simple and unqualified Food is ok, ordered some tapas that were regular Place itself is ok Wouldn't return because it didn't add anything good..not especially bad..

We ate different types of tapas in this restaurant and all of them were very good. The only negative thing in the restaurant was the lack of air conditioning. Even if there was a vantilator, it was very hot inside the restaurant. Réservez une table maintenant

I like this place best when its full of locals, in fact some times you have to queue to get a table. Fave dishes are the DIY pan tomacet, the bunjols de bacalao, and the grilled chicken (excuse my Spanish spelling! .

Fantastic tapas. Open till late, very friendly staff. The patatas bravas were very nice. The decor is of a traditional Andalusian style, rustic but clean.

You need to have time to have dinner there. Food is ok, it is not a reason to come back. It is pretty normal beach restaurant.
