However the main courses and deserts were below standard. Mashed potatoes should not taste of bacon when you are having duck, neither should there be half potatoes in it. Nous y sommes allés en grand groupe de 16 personnes, il y avait un peu de confusion au début avec toutes les personnes qui venaient et le nombre de places assises. On nous a donné le pain habituel et une délicieuse huile d'olive infusée de piment et beaucoup d'eau de table. Nous avons séjourné à La Grande Motte en route pour la Provence et avons décidé de faire une promenade sur la plage. C'était fin octobre et le temps était parfait avec des températures douces dans les années 70 et un ciel bleu. Nous nous sommes arrêtés à La Taverne pour déjeuner et avons commandé des moules frites. Elles étaient parfaitement cuisinées, grandes et dodues et avaient le goût de la mer. Les frites étaient croustillantes et en abondance. Le personnel était très sympathique et accommodant. Fortement recommandé.

This was our final meal in la grande motte and after not being able to get a table the previous evening we booked ahead. Well we weren't disappointed, the food and service was excellent, even though they were packed, and the value was the best of all the meals we had. Everyone left content and happy. Highly recommended but book ahead or you might be queing for some time.
It was the best meal we had during our stay in La Grande Motte! Fresh seafood. Service was excellent even though they were busy. We were supposed go to another restaurant and I noticed the crowd was here so that's where we went. Tried to get a pic before hubby started digging in but I was too slow. We shared a dish for 2 included salmon, haddock, mussels, and potatoes.
Ce restaurant est incroyable, j'ai dîné avec mon partenaire ici, j'ai commandé le bar excellemment cuit à la perfection, fondant en bouche et frais ! Mon partenaire a eu des crevettes dans une délicieuse sauce fraîchement préparée ! Le restaurant est situé directement sur la magnifique côte et le personnel est si gentil et amical, je le recommande vivement !
As usual, we felt our visit was appreciated. Athough we hadn't reserved a table, we only had to wait for approx 10-15 minutes. The food is always good. This time we had the lamb, and it was perfect. So tender you could eat it with a spoon. The nougat glacé for dessert was another peak. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Great food, totally unpretentious, we were the only tourists, fantastic location in the middle of the village next to a Cathar Castle. Found by accident and turned out to be one of our best experiences.
Trip advisor map leads one astray. Restaurant is down on quay. Quite a queue and our booking lost but seated anyway. Initially ignored then great service. Food good, would go again
