La Taverne Algeroise

Great specialities from northern Africa. We tried both couscous and tagine. Tagine was sweet enough without being too much and meat was perfectly cooked. Couscous was really big with a lot of different meats (roal couscous). Service was really perfect and caring even if we were alone on 2nd floor of restaurant.Prices were really cheap for this quality and quantity.We definetely recommend.

Have eaten here a few times, the last time was 18 months ago. I didn't revue at that time due to a problem with a waiter (no longer there). Last night was back up to scratch, our meal was excellent and the service top. I've rated 4/5 becuase the interior is looking a bit tired and could do with a facelift.

Haven't been here for some time and was pleased to be welcomed by 'Le Patron' as an old friend. As usual the restaurant was quite busy but service and quality of food was well upto standard. Still one of the few places around to experience real N. African style cuisine

Tasty, satisfying North African food, well cooked and nicely presented in a welcoming atmosphere. Generous helpings, tasty flavours and well presented and freshly cooked food and the service was both quick and attentive.

Had a really nice meal here with friends. Staff are very nice and we were served quick. The portions were very good I enjoyed the tagine very much.
