Checking out the local restaurants for an evening meal after arriving for three days at the Passchendaele Commemoration we found La Tavern Armentieroise closest to our apartment and enjoyed an excellent meal at very reasonable cost, and were particularly delighted that the chef came of of his kitchen to accept our congratulations. The fellow who served us and who appeared to be the proprietor was friendly and efficient and tolerated our poor French.
After three days of arrival at Passchendaele Memorial, we found the local restaurants for an evening meal at La Tavern Armentieroise next to our apartment and enjoyed an excellent meal at very reasonable costs and were particularly pleased that the chef came from his kitchen to accept our congratulations. The guy who served us and who appeared as owner was friendly and efficient and tolerated our poor French.
