Visited today with the family, and got an amazing warm welcome from the owner (who also happens to be Welsh). Traditional tavern in the heart of Apremont, lovely hidden gem, as it is not as imposing as the restaurant / bar across the road, which we have previously visited and enjoyed, but not noticed this bar. Sat outside and enjoyed the sun and a few cool beers along with the most delicious cheeseburgers we have had in ages. The owner / host and her helper were very attentive to all customers and shared a laugh or two. Absolutely love this place, a real characteristic place, great welcome built just under the walls of the chateau. The welsh couple running the taverne are extremely friendly and welcoming. Also serves great snacks I’d recommend the double cheeseburger, they regularly have evening entertainment from Karaoke to local French artists. On a sunny day just sit on the decking and watch the world go by.
Been here for drinks and also food, food is basic fare, burgers, hot dogs, chips etc, but very nice, and good quality, owners are great, and make you feel very welcome, do a lot of stuff in the evening, mainly British people that visit here, well was when we went a few times, but typically French inside.
Always a fantastic welcome from Mark and Becky. Lovely snack food available. Good selection of beers and other drinks. Free wifi. The bar has a great ambience. Well situated in the centre of Apremont, it is part of the Chateau wall.

J'ai commandé un menu à 20,5€, et à mi-chemin de mon repas, j'étais vraiment content. Manger des huîtres dans cette région est un plaisir.
Accueil charmant, accueillant pour les chiens, excellents cheeseburgers, original ! Emplacement parfait au milieu de la petite ville.

Only stopped for a coffee here but was well worth it, lovely setting right by Chateaux and couple who ran it were really good
