I returned later for a late lunch, where our waiter, Jesse, was very helpful with recommendations. I decided to try the Pollo Ala Russa, accompanied by Yuca and Caldo soup. I'm not sure what everyone has been talking about. I just left the restaurant on December 4, 2015, at 6:50 PM, and I must say, the food was fantastic. The staff were wonderful, and our meals were served hot and delicious. Our waitress did an outstanding job checking on us, and other waitresses also came by to engage in great conversations and share some laughs with us. Often, it's the customers themselves who bring in a negative attitude, but I didn't experience that here. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back for dinner soon. It has been a while since our last visit, and it was just as enjoyable as I remembered. The authentic Cuban cuisine was excellent, and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was also clean. My only suggestion would be to play some Spanish background music to enhance the atmosphere, as there was no music playing during our visit.
Fantastic old school Cuban spot. Be prepared for a wait on the weekends for takeout but trust me it’s worth it! Solid classic Cuban sandwiches, and everything we tried was phenomenal. Plantains were perfect, and the bisteca sandwich was HUGE. Super friendly staff to boot. Give this place your business you won’t be disappointed.
