We have just visited for the fourth or fifth time over recent years. At €30 for a seven course Sunday lunch including an aperitif, copious wine and a pineau to conclude, it's amongst the best value and quality meal we've had anywhere in the world.There are lots of great reviews here, so I'm not going to repeat them. Just to say that we agree! ... and I'm glad Serge gets other people to drink wine out of the soup bowls! We thought he was having a joke at our expense. Just don't leave any food uneaten - Serge will dish it out before removing the now-empty platters! And we didn't see anyone arguing - best to keep on the right side of Le Patron. Well done Madame chef. Thank you. We will be back!

It is not easy to find this restaurant, but this does not stop it being one of the most popular destinations for those I the know. Don't expect a menu, or any choice. Instead prepare for a feast of good, hearty, plentiful food. Everything is home made and looks and tastes fantastic. It is the sort of place that you read about in books and magazines: great food, good value in an authentic old fashioned dining room. Local wine is included. Fussy eaters and the unadventurous should avoid it, for the rest of us it is a rare treat. Do remember to book, casual arrivals are often turned away.

As a family we have dined here for 25 years plus. The food and atmosphere is second to none. Very friendly and hospital hosts. Serge and his wife consistently provide very tasty food at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
