"We have visites this restaurant several consecutive years and iT always is a pleasure to eat here. The view is great and the Food is good even though the setting is simple. I enjoyed a lovely seiche a la placha which was really tastefull prepared."

If you are lucky enough to read this before you arrive in Minerve then heed my warning. AVOID.We waited 10 minutes before being given a bottle of water, which i had to ask for three times. We waited 10 minutes more before being given a menu and were asked to order right then and there. We asked for a minute but then waited another 10 minutes. We ordered 2 x pizzas but they took 1 hour. After the hour i asked when we could expect some food and was told rather rudely and very loudly to "wait" At that point, two other guests left as they had the same issues. The waiter was horrid, he shouted at us and his boss did nothing to help.GO elsewhere. Or suffer the consequences.
We were unfortunate enough to arrive for lunch when the village's electricity supply had been cut. Result, no hot food. However, La Terrasse battled on regardless by providing salads and cold desserts. The salad was very good. The service was prompt and efficient and the view was outstanding looking across the bridge. Prices are aimed at the tourist unfortunately, E15 for a salad when a hatted restaurant nearby had a three course meal for E22.
Looked a nice place to sit and eat-It was. The Pizzas were more than adequate, and were cooked in full view in the kitchens, and the beer helped relieve the exhaustion of a morning spent wandering around Minerve. I would certainly call in again. (PS The failure to give another star was due to the staff smoking in front of the kitchen door-smoke drifting into the cooking area.)
10 Euros will buy you a Pizza with thin and crispy base and a choice of nearly 20 toppings. Avoid Nina with potato and cheese and you should be OK! A good selection of typical Local cuisine and the house wine is good! The owners numerous cats and little Yorkshire terrier will entertain you while you enjoy your meal! Don't miss the Peach Melba for desert!
