This is a great little restaurant, don't be put off by the upstairs bar which is not run by the restaurant. The restaurant decor is very fresh and clean. The food is once again a simple choice of meat or fish, the restaurant boasts of staying true to seasonal local produce. All three courses were delicious and great value. The waitress did a remarkable job of attending the busy restaurant single handedly with no compromise to the service. We all left happy and pleased to have another great restaurant to visit especially as the menu changes every two weeks, no time to get bored with the same dishes!
This restaurant is found under the Hotel reception (La Tour Anglais). It has a great exterior terrace overlooking the Mayenne river. Great for warm nights. Our server was great. She worked like a Trojan and ensured all guests were happy. In the kitchen the cook provided well presented and tasty food. We chose a fixed price menu (3 courses for 24 Euros) which had adequate choices and the food was good. A La Carte is also available. The menu is not vast but doesn't need to be. There's something here for everyone I suspect.
Je suis allé déjeuner et j'ai pris le plat du jour. J'ai été très impressionné, la nourriture était fraîche et cuite à la perfection. La dame qui nous a servis était très sympathique et efficace, j'ai hâte de profiter du beau temps car il y a une charmante terrasse extérieure pour manger.
Ce restaurant avait l'air d'avoir fermé quand nous l'avons regardé vers 17h30, mais des signes d'activité ont commencé à apparaître jusqu'à 19 heures. Nous avons passé un excellent repas servi dans un cadre agréable à un prix raisonnable. Le personnel était très professionnel.
