"We visited this on a Sunday when everything else was very quiet. We had different pizzas and nobody was disappointed. All were freshly made, were very good and had lots of topping.They were also great value. This is simple trattoria cooking, but well done....I would certainly visit again"

Fantastic food. With not many places open in Saintes on a Sunday La Trattoria was very welcoming. We were looking for traditional French food on our one night visit so thought we had to settle for Pizza however we were surprised to find our starters...and desserts were amazing....local Charentais melon and Bayonne ham to start and Mousse au Chocolat to finishe were AMAZING! The pizza was fantastic as well. Freshly baked, great ingredients and very very tasty. The Waitress couldn’t do enough to help...she spoke a little English and really tried hard. The Chef, and assuming, the owner was really friendly and helpful as well. Enjoyed the leftover pizza the next day for lunch! Would HIGHLY recommend
During our stay in France we visited a lot of restaurants. Some will be remembered as a great experience. The bulk was rather such an average. Well then there are restaurants like this, which we will try to forget as soon as possible. Not that...it was exactly terrible, but from the French restaurant we were expecting something better than dry, burnt pizza and coffee that tasted the third bouquet. The service can also not be praised. We just wanted to have a pizza, and only one of the eight we ordered could be marked as good
We stopped here on a quit Sunday and this place was one of the few that was opened. We ordered a pizza each and as a starter some calamari. The Calamares came straight from the freezer, so was for sure overprized in my opinion. The...pizza's were made from scratch right in front of us, and were super tasty. We were not sure why she waited min before making them as we were the only people in there and there was nobody picking up any pizza's either
We were not quite sure when we entered this empty pizzeria, but it turned ouf to be a good one. We ordered one pizza with seafood, and one with extra cheese, mushroom, artichoke and tomato. They were both very delicious, we really enjoyed them. Fortunately...some guests enteted the pizzeria after us, so all in all we had a good enjoyable meal
