Had no idea what to expect when we saw the opening of a take away pizza joint located on the back side of its sister restaurant 'la truffolie.' The pizza menu is like nothing i had ever seen and packed with local produce. The result was great and our pizza evening was a huge success. I recommend you stop by next time and give them a go!"
St Alban-d’Ay est un petit village de l'Ardèche, pas tout à fait au milieu de nulle part mais proche, donc trouver un bon restaurant niché là-bas était déjà bien, mais ensuite découvrir que le restaurant servait en fait une excellente cuisine a transformé la découverte en excellente. Ma femme et moi étions dans la région depuis une semaine et avons décidé de déjeuner là-bas le dernier jour, dommage que nous n'ayons pas pris cette décision dès le premier jour car nous y serions retournés souvent! Dirigé par le couple Anaïs et Benoît, ils n'ont ouvert que depuis un peu plus d'un an mais ont créé un endroit plein de charme et d'esprit, Anaïs parle bien anglais et a un excellent sens de l'humour...
We had a nice dinner at Truffolie with the menu terroir at 17€. After warm goat cheese wrapped in local ham served on toast we ate Truffade Ardéchoise . It is made with potatoes (potatoes arrived in this village around 1540 directly from South America° . Truffole is the local name for potato. For the dessert we had the warm cake with nuts and ice cream. Everything was served quite quickly and with nice manners despite the fact that the restaurant was nearly full. There is also a big terrace with shade under a big tree. The team is very kind and dont force you to order wine.

Nous avons pensé soutenir la communauté locale et passer une soirée pizza! Nous ne savions pas à quoi nous attendre en voyant l'ouverture d'une pizzeria à emporter située à l'arrière de son restaurant "la truffolie" affilié. Le menu de pizzas est comme rien que j'avais jamais vu et rempli de produits locaux. Le résultat était excellent et notre soirée pizza a été un énorme succès. Je vous recommande d'y faire un tour la prochaine fois et de les essayer!

Après une longue journée de route, nous avons demandé à notre hôtesse une recommandation pour le dîner et elle nous a suggéré La Truffolie. Nous n'avons pas été déçus! Bien que complet (c'était un samedi soir), nous avons pu avoir une table dans le jardin et heureusement, c'était une soirée très douce. La nourriture était excellente, du plat principal au dessert, et n'était pas trop chère. Je recommande absolument.
