My friends and I decided to go back to La Verdura after a long absence due to COVID. This is where we had our intimate wedding supper years ago. The restaurant has changed in look due to the pandemic and it has been reduced...in size. Our evening started by changing tables as the booth we were given was rather confining; if you are a bit larger than normal it is rather uncomfortable. At first they could not find our reservation but managed to get us a table anyway, the place looks great, the ambience is good, the menu as a lot of choices but the main course selections were a bit on the expensive side. The french...fries cooked in truffle oil and garnished with parmesan are worth the price and a must, we were told that the salmon tartar was very good but is no longer offered on the menu. We had choosen the tuna steak but there was only one left, it was OK but a bit overcooked, my wife took the spaghetti bolonaise and it was a bit ordinary, nothing to brag about! This said,La Verdura has been in Blainville for at least years and has always served up fresh and hot italian dishes.Ok,so the decor needs a little revamping,and what is up with that graffiti "write on the...walls "toilet walls..lets just say that it takes a little class out of your resto...not all writing on the wall is clean and polite.. Anyways,for starters i had the calamari and it was served burning hot,crispy with a nice SPICY mayo...miammmmm...for mains i tried their signature Lasagna in pastry...wow!! Our first visit to La Verdura a few weeks ago to celebrate a family birthday over dinner. All four of us rated the experience highly. Olivier, our waiter, was very pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable. Our corner table was private and cozy. The restaurant was full...(Saturday night) and had a warm background din of lively, happy conversations, but was not overly noisy. The dishes were all exceptional. Original presentations, inventive flavour palates, and overall excellent cuisine. Kudos to the Chef. Certainly one of the better restaurants in the Blainville area. Italian cuisine with a Tuscan flavour. It's a BYOB, which made the total meal cost very reasonable for the high quality of food,... Réservez une table maintenant
We have been many times to this restaurant and it's a favorite since it's not far from our home, but yesterday when my husband made the reservation for Saturday night at he was told on the phone that we MUST leave the restaurant no...later than Even though we will probably leave the restaurant before that time, we found it very impolite and I am not sure we will be back after that. Many times we have waited for our meal when it was very busy and never have we complained, I think the restaurant should offer the same courtesy to us.
Stopped here for an early dinner. Resto has a nice outdoor terrace and indoor seatings are mostly booth so very well laid out. Ordered their calamari and their famous lasagna with both cream and bolognais suce Calamari was basic brown rings. Not spectacular...for but lasagna is amazing at It is served with soup or salad and can be shared between people. It was both delicious and flavourful !!! Simply splendid. Highly recommend their house famous special lasagna!! Good service as well. Young staff but many servers at hand.
here is an early dinner. resto has a beautiful outside terrace and inside seats are usually so well designed. ordered her calamari and her famous lasagne with sawn and bounais sauce calamari was simple brown rings. not spectacular...for $14 but lasagne is amazing at $28. it is served with suppe or salat and can be divided between 2 people. it was delicious as well as tasteful! simply wonderful. recommend her house famous special lasagne! good service. young worker, but many server to hand.
This Blainville Italian restaurant is the type that allows you to bring your own wine. It dies not have any alcohol permit. It serves traditional Italian food plus delicious pizza baked in a brick oven. I had a business lunch here today. The staff was friendly and bilingual. Both the salad and pasta I had exceeded my expectations. Both were freshly made, delicious and the pasta piping hot! Service was punctual and establishment clean. A wonderful gem in Blainville. Will...definitely return!
