"Everything about this experience was special. The hospitality from the chef/owner, Ida, the bottle of wine she selected for us, the fresh and delicious meals, which was beautifully presented, and the thoughtfully curated selection of dishes available on the menu. This is worth going out of your way for."

Thierry and his lovely wife, Aida, are incredible hosts. Their inviting personalities and enjoyable conversation add to the relaxed and unassuming excellence of this small French bistro. I was first turned on to the restaurant due to business travel five years ago. Since then, I have made it a point to stop in to visit with my new friends on every occasion I can. The food is absolutely wonderful. I travel globally extensively and I can honestly say I have never had even a mediocre dish. Thierry also does a wonderful job to perfectly pair every dish with a fantastic wine. All very reasonably priced. Their clientele are a mix of foreign visitors, yet at the same time, they have many neighborho...

We had a group tour that ended in this neighborhood so I booked a reservation on a weeknight just to be safe (these were not necessary). We were greeted warmly by the family who runs this small restaurant. As is often the case with good restaurants, the menu was very small just three appetizers and four plats on a handwritten menu of the day. My wife ordered a soup that was so good I had to order my own. I had a lamb shank that was to die for. The cook came to check on us and suggested a good wine for my entree. This is a great little spot.

What a gem. Ida let us in about 15 min early from our reservation and you could tell by the multiple friends who popped in and out to say hello that it’s a beloved place. There was a gentleman from Atlanta who came back from dining their the night before. The sea bass and “peanut butter” beef stew were wonderful. The crème brûlées, ginger vanilla and caramel, we are still taking about. Ida also paired my dinner and dessert with wines. A memorable and quaint experience we won’t forget!

This really is a very good restaurant. It is a bit out of the way, but well worth the effort to go. Lamb shank, very ample vol au vent, very good salmon were served as mains all excellent. The recommended choice of wine was good and not at all overpriced. Over 2 nights there were few diners (which you would take as a bad sign not so! . Highly recommend.
