Immer, wenn wir aus dem Wohnzimmerfenster über das Albtal hinwegschauen, fällt unser Blick auf das Panoramahotel, einen modernistischen Halbzylinder, der im betulichen Bad Herrenalb baustilistisch irgendwo zwischen klarem Akzent und Fremdkörper angesiedelt ist. In dessen Restaurant La Vie hatten wir in den zehn Jahren seit unserem Zuzug einige Male gegessen; jedes Mal waren wir entweder ganz allein im großen Speisesaal oder in Hörweite größerer Gruppen, die ihre Fortbildungsveranstaltung o. ä. zum Mittagessen unterbrochen hatten.
