We arrived at 12:30pm & placed our order around 12:45pm.Food started coming at 2:15pm ... we were wondering if they were using slow cooking for our Vietnamese Authentic Cuisine Experience. When the food finally all arrived for us to devour we noticed how small the serves were. Considering we're not fully satisfied we have to order more...service is slow but taste of food is good.Ambiance is great as the place obviously had refurbishment. We were originally set to eat on a table with 12 chairs and it was so crammed. La Viet L'Amour is a great place for dinner. It looks smaller on the outside then it is on the inside. It is very busy so I recommend that you definitely book ahead rather than walk in, especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The only real down side is the waiting time and trying to get the attention of one of the staff. We got some food and had to wait for the rest, which was only really a problem as it was the cold roll meat we were waiting for so we could start. The young coconut juice was fantastic in taste but the glass was filled with a lot of ice so I had to order a second as I liked it so much. Went for Mothers Day. Thanks for ruining it for my wife and Mother!! Staff spilled plate of food and dirty cutlery on to my shirt yet no-one, including the manager who saw this, came out to offer any asssistance, concern or otherwise. Lied about kids eats free offer (based on spending $69 per head for adults!!!!!) and ended up paying almost $20 per child extra based on the absolute LIE!!! Shocking service, if you can call it that!, and a complete rip-off!!! You guys are Scammers and a bad example of the awesome hospitality industry in this state......
I had dinner here friday past and aside from waiting some time before having a waiter tend to our table, I enjoyed the dinning experience. The restaurant itself has a nice ambience and more importantly the food was great. I had the chilli chicken lemongrass dish and loved every mouthful. Quite different from previous lemongrass chicken dishes I've had at other restaurants but think this one was the best one I've tried. Réservez une table maintenant
We dined with a group of frinds last Friday night and as usual the food was great. I had the duck and it was perfect. All the meals were delightful, but unfortunately during our recent heat wave their air-conditioning failed and the only relief was a wall unit. Made the night hard to take.
Just love it !!!! Food is good ,some times is excellent ,best quail ever ,the beef salad is extraordinaire and the duck is just a masterpiece ! I rate it by 4 just cause the decoration and the huge tables with the white ugly chairs make the reataurant look like a funeral function .
