My wife and I have visited La Vigne Haut fairly often and have always been happy. Three of us had lunch there to-day, [9 May 2017] and it was superb. We ate inside because the day was windy but there is a small secluded terrace which is delightful. Two of our party had the fixed [25€50] menu but I selected from the a la carte menu. The fixed menu has entree, main course, cheese and dessert. All three of us were completely delighted. Cooking is done by Monsieur and Madame and everything was perfect. The starters were all very much appreciated. As main courses we had grilled duck breast with a mushroom sauce, duck wings, and fish, all served with vegetables, full of flavour and beautifully cooked and presented. Duck wings can be dry but these were succulent. The cheeses were good, fresh and not over-chilled. Finally, the desserts, especially the creme au caramel. were a fine ending to an excellent lunch. We had two local wines with the meal, both produced within a few kilometres, and they were both good and reasonably priced. This restaurant is thoroughly recommended. It is not the easiest place to find - just down a side road off the main D811 road in Castelfranc but look for it - well worth while!

We just love La Vigne Haute. The food is consistently excellent, the service homey and relaxing and the patio with its pond enchanting. The duck confit is our favorite. We eat it many other places but no one makes it as crispy and tasty as Olga, the chef. This time I had fish, a perfectly cooked cabillaud, moist with just a tad of crisp in the corners covered with a delicate vegetable sauce with a hint of curry. We always bring our guests there because we are sure it will be a good meal. Most of the customers are French, a good endorsement.

If you're in the area this restaurant should be on your "hot list" - for lunch or dinner. You are completely assured of a warm welcome by your hosts Olga and Eric and a spoiling treat of local fare beautifully cooked and presented. Don't be in a rush though - this is a place to savour languidly. Today i had fabulous magret with mushroom sauce that was delicious and i was perfecly content until i tried my husband's entrocote - i was mixed up and jealous then! Altogether a fabulous lunch full of all that's good cuisine wise and amitié

The set menu (two or three choices for each course) was great value at 25€. It's run by a husband and wife team: Eric Grao does front-of-house, Olga Grao cooks. The confit of rabbit delicately flavoured with cinnamon and star anise, and garnished with Agen prunes, was a triumph!
