On Saturday night July 15th we celebrated my birthday with 12 friends in the pleasant open air dining area of La Viña de Calpe. We had a planned menu of two starters: Watermelon Gazpacho, Smoked Eel, Brioche Burrata followed by Sashimi of Marinated Salmom, wasabi, ginger and soy. These two starters were amazing ! The main course offerings were a choice of Entrecôte steak, Breast of Duck and Sea Bass all were prepared in as tasty a manner as the starters. All offerings were beautifully plated and pleasing to both eye and palate. Our host Ronnie and his staff were attentive and made sure the evening progressed at a comfortable pace. Nous sommes venus manger ensemble un midi de mars franchement, c'est une très bonne valeur pour l'argent. La terrasse intérieure avec chemin rend l'endroit très agréable. Les serveurs sont très utiles et certains parlent plusieurs langues. On a eu du mal à choisir notre repas parce que tout semblait bon. On n'était pas déçus. et nous reviendrons certainement au goût de ce que nous ne pouvions pas prendre. Très bonne adresse pour garder.
We had another lovely evening in this superb restaurant. One of us is coeliac and required gluten free food. The menu is marked and easily understood but not only that the staff are very well versed in gluten free cuisine which makes for a very relaxed dining experience. The head waiter even explained I shouldn’t sample my husbands dish as it contained gluten. We look forward to visiting when next in Calpe.
The restaurant enjoys a great location with beautiful garden dinning areas available , Their menu offers excellent options offering choices for all tastes , dish presentation and quality of food of the best . Wide choice of great wines are available and to finish some lovely home made desserts. The service by Ronnie and the team made an unforgettable celebration meal for us all . Many thanks

Amazing service and lovely food the setting in the garden is also great. Our family loved everything, the staff were more than happy to accommodate our children’s (many) requests! Would say it’s a must visit if you are in Calpe

Enjoyed our meal. Great service throughout. Salt baked sea bass was amazing and expertly filleted at our table. We will return.
