While visiting friends in Toulouse recently, they took us to Label Braise, one of their favorite restaurants. Located in the small town of Segoufielle, it has the wonderful warm and inviting atmosphere that you expect in the French countryside. The owners/chefs were so friendly and what a treat to watch many of the dishes being prepped and cooked at the open fire oven in the restaurant. Our food was was fantastic: a local dish Magret d'Canard (duck breast) was cooked perfectly. By the way, my daughter is vegan and they made a fabulous grilled vegetable dish just for her without complaint. The combination of great food, wine and atmosphere made this a memorable evening out.
We came across this wonderful little restaurant while out cycling from town to town. We didn't have a reservation but were accommodated on the terrace at lunchtime. Three courses including wine and coffee for 21! Starter and dessert from a buffet selection. Both delicious as was the main course of grilled tuna to absolute perfection and a steak with lots of grilled veg. We so enjoyed. Revitalised we got back on our bicycles and returned to our temporary home for an afternoon snooze.
Returned here over 12 months since our last visit and was pleasantly surprised. While the food and service has always been good, I would say it has actually improved. Set menu at €30 is excellent value and cannot fault the quality of the food. Service was excellent as well. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
