Not a popular area of France for the English to visit, but as our son and his family were staying in Carantec at a superb camping site, we decided to spend a few days visiting. Twice we dined in this restaurant and were well satisfied. Sitting on the Terrace overlooking a beautiful Bay - especially when the tide is in - is a delightful experience. Not a fine dining establishment, but very good basic seafood, well presented. Soupe de poisson and Fruits de Mers were good value as was Crabe et Langoustine. Wine in France should be cheaper than England, but unfortunately is not ! Menetou Salon at E34.90 is over priced ! However, there is one top class restaurant in Carantec if the pocket can afford, but if not, L'Abri du Pecheur is an excellent substitute.

A lovely friendly restaurant right on the sea front. We sat outside admiring the view. It was full of local people...always a good sign. They stop serving food just before two so we thought we would starve...however they DO still serve desserts so we had a cheese platter and a glass of rose...parfait!

Well worth the visit.Food fantastic, service good.Price reasonable. They have the menu in English (thankfully)The view is one of the best. I had the 31 Euro menu, Prawns and mayo, Then larger prawns and rice for main.Mixed small desserts. We will go back.

A very good meal with a view of the sea. The crab was the tastiest I've had in a long time, and all the flavours of all courses were very very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.
