My visit to Mother's Day on a lazy afternoon was delightful. Lady Jayne is unparalleled when it comes to quiche, it was the best I've ever had! The portions were generous, and I had to take some leftovers home as I couldn't finish it all. The refreshing ice-cold sorbet at the end was a pleasant surprise that I've never experienced at any other afternoon tea spot. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, with little touches added for Mother's Day. Be sure to make a reservation as there are only six tables inside, but there are also some outside which would be perfect in good weather. the afternoon was nice, not alcoholic drinks that woke well as we both drove. there was a good choice to choose food and the ham quiche was to die. then the scones and cakes with decisions again. my teekanne turned up and asked my sis in law if she wanted more coffee. then also the ice creams/sorbet choice. I had to take two cakes home. they were packed in separate boxes and put in the refrigerator until we were ready to go. all in every penny worth. beautiful service of a really beautiful waitress beautiful background music, but not too loud, they could not lead a conversation. I would recommend lady jaynes teestuben for every occasion.
Visited Lady Jayne's twice now and all I can say is that I am in love. The staff are lovely and so accommodating. I am vegan and it is hard to find somewhere which can cater for me. The soups are all vegan and homemade. They have vegan cakes on offer and can even cater for a vegan afternoon tea. I didn't feel like a pain asking for soya milk or vegan spread like you do in some tearooms. This has definitely come become my favourite place and will happily travel from Derby. 100% try this tea room and you won't regret it. <3 xxx
my friend brought me here for the birthday. I never had the afternoon, but I loved it absolutely! the waitress was so beautiful and friendly and couldn't do enough for us and the food was delicious, everything cooked home and if we didn't put all the cakes she put in a box for each of us instead of just putting everything in one. the tee was beautiful and the non-alcoholic drink at the beginning and the sorbet at the end was a beautiful note. My two best friends and I went for afternoon tea on a Sunday afternoon. There was an abundance of delicious food, so much so that we had to take some home in a box. The quiche was warm, the sandwiches were generously filled, and the cakes were freshly baked. The staff were exceptionally friendly and did not rush us to leave, even when other guests arrived seeking a table. I would definitely recommend this place!
I took my niece for afternoon tea today for her birthday, and the staff really made her feel special. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, and the service was top-notch.
