I've been there with some friends. Most of us went there for lunch. They offer different meals salad, sandwich, chicken salad plate and so on. The meals are not that bad. But the service is really bad. Not flexible at all and they did...not understand the easiest wishes. All I asked for my salad was please only french dressing The reason nothing as easy as that I just don't like French dressing and Balsamico together. So I asked them already when I ordered it. By that time it did not seem to be a problem. It actually was quite fast until I got my plate. BUT there was Balsamico on it. I asked them to change it since I ordered without. Swiss beach-goers like their lakes... The Walensee is a really beautiful one, especially the north side, as there's little traffic and it is sunny in summer. Great clean water, too. You can lay in the sun on grassy meadows or on rocks, plenty of space...for both options. A short piece of the north coast road is open to traffic, exactly until Lago Mio, where there's ample parking (for a fee). Then you can stay near it or walk forward... The restaurant (beach bar) itself is not a big deal, but handy when you decide to catch a snack or a drink. A meal too, if you stay the evening when they have dancing or live music really nice, as you are on the lake beach. Prices are normal, service looks a b...
Lago Mio is located outside of Weesen on the quiet road to Bettlis. If can be crowded however, in particular with good weather and on holidays, because of the visitors who come here to take a swim in the Walensee. I ordered a large cup...of ice cream with fruits and fruit juice, that was excellent.
