We walked by this place on the way home from diner one night, the owner was outside and engaged us in conversation. He was very friendly and the menu looked good and was reasonably priced. We told him we would be back tomorrow. The next day we took the six mile sea side hike around the city and wound up back at the restaurant at 2:00.The owner recognized us an welcomed us back with a hardy handshake and good cheer.We sat outside and started with a wonderful goat cheese salad, then a pot full of mussels, and finished it off with a fabulous apple caramel ice cream sunday topped with out of this world whipped cream. There are lots of restaurants along the quayside in Le Croisic, but given the torrential rain we chose this one as a waiter made the effort to welcome us in and find a table for us. We both went for a galette - I can highly recommend the country ham with Cure Nantais cheese. Most customers were eating moules frites, and seeing just how enormously fat and juicy the mussels were I wondered if I should have chosen them instead of the galette! The service was brisk and friendly - this is a place that is used to serving lots of people promptly and turning over tables quickly. A horrible rainy day meant everyone was heading inside for food and shelter. We were attracted by the menu which offered more than just crepes/galettes. The staff were very helpful to seat a non French speaking, English family of 7 (including 3 under 8s) in...what was a very busy inside area. The staff were the most efficient we have come across this week in France and we had drinks in our hands and our meals ordered within 5 mins of sitting down. The food was delicious, various moules dishes for the adults and a popular jambon et frites from the children's menu. Ayant été refusé une table au restaurant voisin (peut-être parce que j'étais seul et qu'ils ne voulaient pas gaspiller une table pour deux sur une seule personne, peut-être à cause de l'accent anglais...!) , J'ai décidé d'essayer L'Air du Temps à la place. Tout au contraire, ils étaient très accueillants et accommodants, malgré le fait qu'ils étaient très occupés, et étaient heureux de me trouver une table. Having been refused a table at the restaurant next door (perhaps because I was alone and they didn't want to waste a table for two on one person, perhaps because of the English accent...!), I decided to try L'Air du Temps instead. Completely to the contrary, they were very welcoming and accommodating, despite being very busy, and were happy to find me a table.The 'Formule Moules', consisting of Moules et frites, with a glass of wine (or cider or beer), followed by a crêpe beurre sucré was excellent, and very good value at 11,90 euros.Despite being busy, all the staff were friendly and efficient. I would most definitely go back, and would certainly recommend it.
C'est toujours surprenant pour moi de trouver un endroit aussi pauvre aujourd'hui ! Le cadre est magnifique et relativement récent... l'emplacement est cool sur le port du Croisic... mais.. les Langustinen sont trop bouillis et sans goût. La mayonnaise est de la merde...(c'est pas dur de faire une belle mayonnaise maison ? Les bosses étaient bien. Et les coquilles manquent de sel, beaucoup trop de vin dans la sauce etc... . Le pain est soit horrible, soit d'hier ( en France ?. avec 120 boulangeries dans le quartier ! C'était une première fois et la dernière. Dommage que l'endroit ait l'air cool de l'extérieur. N'y allez pas !
La nourriture est incroyable. Nous avons pris des moules avec une sauce appelée Air du temps, c'est la meilleure sauce que nous n'ayons jamais goûtée. Les coquilles étaient si fraîches, si délicieuses. Le service est excellent. Nous sommes arrivés à 13h et c'était très animé, mais à 14h, nous avions été servis avec un repas de 2 plats. Nous avons 2 enfants et ils ont été servis avec nos entrées. En réalité, rien à dire, c'était une très bonne expérience de visiter l'air du temps. Réservez une table maintenant
